Emily trained on the classical course at Tring Park. Graduating in 2000, she went on to perform with numerous dance companies both in the UK and internationally. Following this Emily spent several years at English National Ballet in production and tour management, managing the acclaimed My First Ballet tours in conjunction with English National Ballet School. Alongside her work in production, Emily taught a range of classes for ENB’s adult ballet programme, and advanced adult ballet at DanceEast. After having her children, she was inspired to pursue teaching full time, and became a fully qualified Cecchetti ballet teacher completing a Diploma in Dance Education with the ISTD. Emily currently teaches ballet and creative dance sessions in local schools, and continues her work with English National Ballet as an Associate Dance Artist.
Led by Miss Emily, these classes are designed to introduce children to the wonderful world of ballet in a creative, imaginative and fun way. Suitable for ages 2 - 4, children will explore dance through a variety of themes and music, learning their first ballet steps and developing their confidence through movement.
Following the Cecchetti ballet method, these classes are for school aged children. Miss Emily teaches a combination of syllabus and imaginative free ballet, instilling a love of dance, and an understanding of the core discipline and control which ballet requires. Providing an opportunity for progression and achievement, children may take class exams, should they wish to.
A wonderful and creative way to keep fit, ballet classes can help to improve flexibility, core strength and posture. These classes are suitable for adult learners who have some previous experience of ballet.
If you have any questions about the classes, feel free to send me a message. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
